Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC) is a pioneering partnership with local GPs and now manages several GP practices with around 40,000 registered patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside.
Whilst appointees will have a base practice within NPC they may be asked to work at other practices across our group. We do however limit this as much as possible as we appreciate continuity is vital to effective primary care.
Candidates must read the entire ‘Applicants Guidance Notes’ before submitting any applications.
Please note that it is a requirement of NPC that successful applicants may need to pay for their own DBS certificate if a DBS check is required for the post. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first monthly pay.
Closing date: 21st February 2019
Haydon Bridge & Allendale Medical Practice are excited to announce that we are searching for a Salaried GP or GP Partner to join our team 4 to 6 sessions per week.
We are a medium sized rural practice with 5350 patients. Our current GP team is long-serving and we have an efficient and enjoyable work environment with friendly nursing and admin teams. We are proud to consistently achieve high levels of patient satisfaction. Current national GP survey results demonstrate we score better than the national average in every measure. We also have consistently high QoF results. Staff know patients well and the practice focuses on traditional values but has a forward thinking culture.
We are a training practice for GP registrars and medical students.
Haydon Bridge and Allendale Health Centres are both located in beautiful villages situated in picturesque Northumberland countryside. Allendale has been twice crowned Village of the Year for All England and boasts scenic moorland, waterfalls and wildlife. Haydon Bridge, with a beautiful river at its heart, attracts cyclists and walkers due to its proximity to Hadrian’s wall.
The successful applicant will be working from the picturesque location of Haydon Bridge and Allendale in the heart of west Northumberland and working alongside our team of 3 other GP's, 2 Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistant and highly competent admin team.
Haydon Bridge & Allendale are part of Northumbria Primary Care and have benefited from the company investing in Clinical Coding and Medicine Technicians support to remove some of the burden on our GP's day, as a result clinical admin and medication queries are largely removed from our GP's day allowing you to focus on complex cases which require the unique skills a GP possess.
The successful applicant will be invited to monthly educational events with fellow NPC GP's, be entitled to 5 days study leave (pro rata) and have indemnity fully covered by NPC.
We now have a new progressive salary scale for our GP's which means newly qualified GP's or those with less than 5 years experience have progression throughout their first five years in recognition of their ongoing commitment to NPC. Our salary scale is as follows:
- For 0-2 years experience - £8,000 per session
- For 2-3 years experience - £8,500 per session
- For 3-5 years experience - £9,000 per session
- For over 5 years experience - £9,500 per session.
- For GP Partners - £11,184 per session
As NPC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust all eligible employees can access NHS Pension Scheme, Fleet Solutions lease vehicles, Childcare vouchers etc. In addition should you be interested in portfolio working within specialist areas of secondary care this is something we can support.
We would like the successful to candidate to be in place by April or May and ideally have in interest in training registrars, either currently or in the future. Experience of working within Northumberland and using SystmOne would be desirable but not essential.
You will be contacted via e-mail, it is important you regularly check your emails as any interview details will be communicated to you via your e-mail address and not via NHS jobs or post.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
