Assessment centre date: 8th April 2019

We are looking for an enthusiastic nursing assistant to join our community hospital team at Berwick Infirmary Ward One. 

The successful candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills and have an interest in elderly care medicine.

We are a 24 bedded consultant led rehabilitation ward.  We have daily clinical support from our local GP surgery.  We support patients with on-going rehabilitation following an acute illness.  We support medical patients who may have had i.e. stroke,recent surgery, palliative care and nurse to nurse admission pathway and patients who may suffer from mental health needs i.e. delerium/dementia. 

We have a strong working relationship with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies.

This selection process will be a 2 stage process;

  • The initial stage will be an assessment centre consisting of 3 written exercises which will incorporate numeracy, literacy and a situational judgement test.
  • The final stage will be a structured competency based interview.
